Srinivas University’s Institute of Aviation Studies Hosts Engaging Mock Press Event

Mangaluru, September 11, 2025 — The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University successfully organized a Mock Press Event aimed at sharpening the communication and analytical abilities of its aviation students. The event brought together participants from BBA Aviation Management, Aviation and Logistics Management, and Aviation, Travel and Tourism Management programs, offering them a dynamic, real-world simulation of a press conference.

Guided by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, and Ms. Anjana T.V., Head of Department, with strong support from the faculty, the event served as an immersive platform for developing students’ presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

A Platform for Real-Time Learning

A total of 38 students stepped into the spotlight, where they were tasked with tackling challenging allegation-based scenarios while responding to rapid-fire, press-style questions. This format tested their ability to stay composed under pressure, showcase presence of mind, and articulate clear, logical responses — qualities essential in the fast-paced aviation and business industries.

The audience and faculty were notably impressed by the participants’ confidence, creativity, and professionalism, which turned the event into a lively yet intellectually stimulating experience.
