– The Institute of Aviation Studies at Srinivas University came alive with
creativity and competitive spirit as it hosted its much-anticipated Mad Ad
Competition. Designed exclusively for students of BBA Aviation Management,
Aviation and Logistics Management, and Aviation Travel and Tourism Management,
the event blended fun with learning while highlighting the power of innovative
marketing.
Guided by Dr. Pavithra
Kumari, Dean of the Institute, and Ms. Anjana T.V., Head of the
Department, with the strong support of the faculty team, the competition aimed
to nurture essential professional skills. Participants were challenged to think
beyond conventional advertising, sharpening their creativity, critical
thinking, and analytical abilities by presenting imaginative concepts for
branding and promotion.
The event saw an
enthusiastic turnout, with 14 spirited teams competing for the top
honors. Each team brought its own unique perspective, delivering performances
that were as entertaining as they were thought-provoking. The charged
atmosphere reflected the students’ passion, teamwork, and determination to make
their ideas stand out.
After an engaging round
of performances, Shravan D. Suvarna and team from II BBA Aviation
Management emerged as the winners, while Iranius P.S. and team from I
BBA Aviation and Logistics Management secured the runner-up position.
Speaking about the
competition, faculty members emphasized how platforms like these foster experiential
learning, enabling students to apply classroom knowledge in creative,
real-world contexts. By encouraging participants to experiment with
unconventional ideas, the competition not only celebrated innovation but also
underscored the value of marketing in the aviation and travel industry.
The event concluded on a
high note, leaving both participants and the audience inspired. With its
success, the Mad Ad Competition reaffirmed Srinivas University’s commitment to
nurturing well-rounded professionals who combine academic excellence with practical
skills and creative flair.
