Srinivas University’s Institute of Aviation Studies hosted an Anti-Drug Awareness Essay Contest on August 7, 2025, encouraging students to embrace a drug-free lifestyle. Read about the winners and event highlights.

Promoting Social Responsibility Through Education

On 7th August 2025, the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, successfully conducted an Essay Writing Competition as part of its Anti-Drug Awareness Initiative. The event, organized by the Anti-Drug Committee in collaboration with the Management Forum, aimed to inspire students to make healthier life choices and reject substance abuse.

The contest’s theme, “Saying No to Drugs; Is Saying Yes to Life”, motivated participants to reflect on the harmful effects of drugs and the value of purposeful living.

Over 200 Students Participate in the Awareness Drive

A remarkable 201 students took part in the competition, representing:

  • BBA Aviation Management
  • BBA Aviation & Logistics Management
  • BBA Aviation Travel and Tourism Management

The event was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute, and Ms. Anjana T V, Head of Department & Event Coordinator, supported by faculty members dedicated to student development.
