Srinivas University Institute of Aviation Studies Hosts Thrilling Two-Day Chess Tournament 2025

 

In a celebration of intellect, strategy, and competitive spirit, Srinivas University’s Institute of Aviation Studies successfully organized a two-day Chess Tournament on 31st July and 1st August 2025. The event brought together a total of 117 students from various aviation programs, including BBA Aviation Management, Aviation & Logistics Management, Aviation Travel & Tourism Management, and MBA Aviation Management.

Held at the university campus in Mangaluru, the tournament was designed to challenge the minds of students while fostering teamwork, discipline, and decision-making under pressure.

The event featured both Intra-Class and Inter-Class chess competitions. Each match witnessed students channel their strategic thinking, patience, and precision—skills vital both on the board and in the world of aviation.

Guided and supported by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, and Ms. Anjana T V, Head of the Department and Event Coordinator, the tournament ran seamlessly with the cooperation of faculty and staff members.
