The Event

Strategic Minds on the Sixty-Four Squares

The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, brought its campus to a thoughtful hush on 27th August 2026, hosting a Chess Tournament at the Aviation Campus. Designed to encourage sportsmanship, intellectual engagement, concentration, and strategic thinking, the event opened its boards to students of BBA Aviation Management and BBA Aviation & Logistics Management.

The individual-category format drew an enthusiastic turnout of 82 players — 66 men and 16 women — who settled in across parallel boards for a tournament that rewarded patience as much as ambition. Matches were conducted under the watchful supervision of the Physical Education Directors of Srinivas University, and participants brought remarkable focus, tactical sharpness, and competitive spirit to every game.

Across dozens of boards, conversation gave way to quiet calculation — every participant weighing patience against ambition, one square at a time.

Closing Note

Beyond the Classroom, Beyond the Cockpit

The smooth conduct of the tournament reflected the Institute's continuing commitment to giving students room to grow outside the classroom — sharpening the focus, patience, and decision-making that carry over well beyond the chessboard. The event closed on a positive note, with participants appreciating the opportunity to compete, learn, and demonstrate their strategic abilities.

Every great journey begins with a strategic move.
