Faculty members of the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, showcased their creativity, talent, and team spirit at Guruvandana 2026, the Teacher Talent Competition organised by Rotary Seaside, Mangaluru, on 30 August 2026 at the SDM Law College Auditorium, Mangaluru. The event brought together teachers from various schools and colleges across the city, providing a vibrant platform for educators to demonstrate their talents beyond the classroom.

Dressed in radiant yellow-and-white folk attire and dancing to devotional rhythms, the team's spirited routine paying homage to Karnataka's temple traditions won over the judges — earning the Institute its top honour of the evening.

A high-energy, multi-segment routine took the crowd from a sleek all-black look with sunglasses and crimson sashes to a shimmering props-driven number with mirrored chairs — earning the team a well-deserved second place.

Framed against the image of Nataraja, the cosmic dancer, a solo Bharatanatyam performance brought grace, precision, and quiet intensity to the stage.
