Say No to Drugs, Choose Life — Placard Making Competition Ignites Student Voices
42 teams. 210 student-artists. One powerful message — painted, penned, and championed by the future of aviation.
Creativity With a Cause
The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised a spirited Placard Making Competition on 29 June 2026, marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse. Open to students of BBA Aviation Management and BBA Aviation Logistics and Management, the initiative aimed to build awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse while championing a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle.
Anchored on the theme "Say No to Drugs — Choose Life," the competition challenged students to translate a serious social message into bold, visual storytelling — through colour, symbolism, and sharp slogans that speak straight to the heart.
"Every stroke of colour on these placards carried a promise — a promise to choose life, choose family, choose the future over addiction."
42 Teams, One United Voice
A total of 42 teams, each with five members, brought their creativity, teamwork, and social conscience to the table. From haunting imagery of addiction's toll to vibrant depictions of hope, education, and family, every placard told a story of awareness and concern for community well-being — proof that art can be as powerful as any lecture.
