Mangaluru, Sept. 15, 2025:
The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, hosted its annual
cultural extravaganza Traditional Day – Parampara 2025, a vibrant
celebration of India’s cultural heritage and diversity. The event brought
together students, faculty, and staff in a colorful display of traditions,
unity, and inclusiveness.
The formal inauguration
was presided over by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of
Aviation Studies, in the esteemed presence of Ms. Anjana T.V., Head of
Department; Mr. Roshin K. Sibi, Student Welfare Officer; and Ms.
Pratheeksha Shetty, Cultural Coordinator. Student Council representatives —
including Ms. Meenakshi (President), Mr. Tanveer Singh (Vice
President), Ms. Kshithi (Secretary), Mr. Varshith (Joint
Secretary), along with Mr. Prajnesh and Ms. Prapthi (Cultural
Coordinators) — also graced the occasion.
The program commenced
with a prayer and a floral welcome, followed by a symbolic inauguration
featuring the blooming of coconut and areca nut flowers — a gesture
representing prosperity and cultural preservation.
A series of cultural
competitions set the stage abuzz with energy and creativity. The Group
Fashion Show and Individual Fashion Show stood out as highlights,
where students showcased traditional attire from across India’s diverse
regions. The I Year MBA Aviation Management team emerged as winners in
the Group Fashion Show, while Team Kalamrita secured second place. In
the Individual Fashion Show, Ms. Felcita Felix Dias (II BBA Aviation and
Logistics Management) was crowned Queen, and Mr. Akshay S (II BBA
Aviation and Logistics Management) was crowned King.
Beyond the competitions,
the day was filled with interactive and fun activities, fostering active
participation and camaraderie among students.
The celebration concluded
with a valedictory session, where the efforts of faculty, staff, and students
were acknowledged. Parampara 2025 not only showcased India’s cultural
vibrance but also reinforced the spirit of unity and inclusivity within the
university community.
