Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University organized Cooking without fire Competition for the students of First Year BBA (Aviation Logistic Management) and BBA (Aviation Management) on 20th July 2024 in their campus at Hampnakattta. The event aimed to promote healthy eating and showcase the culinary talents of students while encouraging innovative approaches to preparing meals without using any form of fire.
The
students formed teams and were given the challenge to prepare delicious relying
on their creativity and presentation skills. The dishes ranged from refreshing
salads and gourmet sandwiches to elaborate desserts, smoothies, and fruit
platters.
Judging
criteria included the taste, creativity, and presentation of the dishes. The
panel of judges, consisting of faculty members and culinary experts, were
impressed with the originality and effort displayed by the students. The event
not only highlighted the importance of healthy, quick-to-make meals but also
fostered teamwork and time management skills.
The
winners of the Cooking without Fire competition were Saanvi Mahendra Suvarna,
Varsha and Merlyn Fernandes from First year BBA (Aviation Management) and the second
place was bagged by Lakshith, Neha Salian and Suraksha First year BBA (Aviation
Management). Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies,
presided over the event and personally sampled the culinary creations prepared
by the students. This innovative competition brought a fun and educational
twist to cooking, leaving the students inspired to explore more creative,
fire-free culinary ideas.
