Srinivas University: Drug Awareness Program held at Institute of Aviation Studies | 2024

 

Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University held a Drug Awareness program on 26 June 2024 on the account of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in their campus at Hampankatta.

The program was organized and coordinated by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. The programme began with the heartfelt prayer from Ms. Bhagya Vishnu, Ms. Rithika, Ms. Yashoda, 2nd year B.B.A (Aviation Management). Ms. Aishwarya , Faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University delivered a heartfelt welcome address to the gathering. Mr. Vianayak, Sub Inspector, Bunder Police Station opened speakers’ session where he gave a highlight about the various topics to be discussed by the other speakers.

Mr. Prathap Singh Thorat, Assistant Commissioner of Police, delivered an informative talk on the significance of prevention of drugs and the vital role of community involvement. He also stressed on the importance of discussing any related issues with faculty members and parents, and seeking counselling for any problems. He also led the students in an oath, committing themselves to stay drug-free and to support their peers in maintaining a healthy, drug-free environment.

Mr. Azmath Ali, Inspector, Bunder Police Station, highlighted the importance of awareness and vigilance in combating the Drug abuse. He also shared his experiences of encountering drug trafficking.

Mrs. Chaitra, Faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University delivered the vote of thanks to the gathering. The program was compered by Ms. Deekshitha, Faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University.
