Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies Organized “Yoga for Physical and Mental Wellbeing” | 2025

 

As part of the preparations for International Yoga Day, the Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized a special yoga session titled “Yoga for Physical and Mental Wellbeing” on 30th May 2025. The session was held at the Aviation Campus, Hampankatta, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and staff.

The event was successfully coordinated and supported by Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, whose leadership ensured the smooth and professional execution of the session.

The session was conducted by Yogaratna Gopalakrishnan Belampady, a renowned yoga practitioner and wellness advocate. With his vast experience and calming presence, he guided the participants through a thoughtfully curated sequence of yoga practices aimed at promoting holistic health and wellbeing. The event aimed to enhance the holistic health of educators by introducing yoga practices that support both physical and mental wellbeing.

Asanas: Focused on improving flexibility, body alignment, and posture.

Pranayama: Aimed at calming the mind, reducing anxiety, and increasing oxygen flow.

Guided Meditation: Helped enhance mindfulness, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

Group Relaxation Exercise: Concluded the session with a deep sense of relaxation and inner peace.

Participants deeply appreciated the simplicity, effectiveness, and accessibility of the practices demonstrated during the session. Many expressed a keen interest in participating in similar wellness sessions regularly. The atmosphere of rejuvenation and positive energy reflected the session’s success in promoting health and harmony.

The initiative not only promoted a healthy lifestyle but also emphasized the importance of self-care. The event concluded on a positive note, with participants feeling refreshed and motivated to continue practicing yoga in their daily lives.
