On
22nd June 2025, the Ramakrishna Mission organized a thought-provoking and
educational science awareness programme titled “Igniting the Future – ISRO’s
Legacy and Beyond”, with the objective of inspiring young minds to delve into
scientific pursuits and appreciate India’s remarkable journey in space
technology. A major highlight of the event was the innovative “Space on Wheels”
mobile exhibition, which vividly showcased the achievements of the Indian Space
Research Organisation (ISRO) through detailed satellite models, launch vehicle
prototypes, informative displays, and interactive visuals.
Adding
significant depth and value to the programme, Padma Shri Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar,
former Chairman of ISRO, delivered a special address. His insightful session
offered students a rare glimpse into the vision, challenges, and future
prospects of India’s space mission, highlighting the critical role ISRO plays
in national development and global space initiatives. Under the guidance of Dean,
Dr. Pavithra Kumari and Head of the Department and NSS Coordinator,
approximately 40 students from various aviation-related programmes BBA Aviation
Management, Aviation and Logistics Management, Aviation Travel and Tourism
Management, and MBA Aviation Management actively participated in the event.
Their engagement reflected a strong enthusiasm for scientific learning and
technological innovation.
The
programme successfully blended education with inspiration, motivating students
to broaden their scientific horizons and contribute meaningfully to the field
of space science and the larger goal of national progress. It stood as a
testament to the power of experiential learning and the importance of fostering
a scientific temper among the youth.
