As
part of the World Environment Day celebrations on 5th June 2025, the Institute
of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized two creative art
competitions—Bottle Painting titled “Pot It Green” and Paper Painting titled
“Brushes for the Biosphere.” Both events were held with the support and
encouragement of Dean, Dr. Pavithra Kumari and HOD Anjana T.V Institute of
Aviation Studies, who actively promotes activities that nurture student
creativity and environmental awareness.
The
Bottle Painting competition followed the theme “From Waste to Wonder,”
inspiring students to creatively reuse discarded bottles and transform them
into beautiful and useful art pieces. Seven participants, working in teams of
two from BBA Aviation Management, BBA Aviation & Logistics Management, and
BBA Aviation Travel and Tourism Management courses, took part in this event.
The first place was awarded to Gloriya Gabriel Noronha and Martha Martin
Fernandes from II BBA Aviation Management, while the second place went to Akash
A and Ismail E V from II BBA Aviation & Logistics Management.
Simultaneously,
the Paper Painting competition encouraged students to capture “The Beauty of
Nature” through their artwork, promoting emotional connection and appreciation
for the environment. Six participants from undergraduate and postgraduate
aviation courses showcased their talent, with Abhishek Bin Subash from II BBA
Aviation & Logistics Management winning the undergraduate category and
Haarith Ahamed from I MBA Aviation Management securing the postgraduate top
spot. Both competitions successfully highlighted the importance of
environmental sensitivity and offered students a meaningful platform to express
their concerns and love for nature through artistic creativity.
