Mangaluru,
24 January 2025 – The Institute of Aviation Studies,
Srinivas University, proudly participated in a walkathon organized as part of
the Coast Guard Week Celebration 2025 to commemorate the 49th Raising Day of
the Indian Coast Guard. A total of 130 students of BBA (Aviation Management)
and BBA (Aviation and Logistics Management) actively took part in the event,
demonstrating their commitment to fitness and honoring the service of the
Indian Coast Guard personnel.
The
walkathon, which began at 6.30 A.M, started from Tannirbhavi Beach and concluded
at Indian Coast Guard District Headquarters No. 3, covering an 8-kilometer
route. The event was Organized to salute the bravery, sacrifice, courage, and
patriotism of Coast Guard personnel, the walkathon served as a tribute to their
relentless efforts in protecting India’s vast maritime borders.
Dr.
Pavithra Kumari, Dean of the Institute of Aviation Studies, along with students
and faculty, enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their
commitment to fitness, environmental advocacy, and community engagement. The
event also aimed to foster unity among uniformed forces, raise environmental
awareness, and promote healthy living among participants.
The
participation of Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University highlighted
its dedication to supporting national initiatives, making the walkathon a
memorable and successful event for all involved.
