Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University
organized Mehndi Competition on 30 July 2024 in their campus. It
was a lively celebration of cultural heritage and artistic talent. Students in
large number participated in the event. The competition aimed to celebrate and
showcase the traditional art of Mehndi (henna) application, encouraging
creativity and cultural appreciation among students. Participants were given a
set time to create their intricate designs, reflecting themes ranging from
traditional to contemporary. The Institute witnessed a vibrant display of
artistry and tradition as students participated in the Mehendi Making
Competition organized by the cultural committee.
The
Judges, consisting of experienced artists and faculty members, had the
challenging task of selecting winners based on precision and creativity. The
competition promoted cultural exchange and unity, bridging gaps among students.
From
the girl’s category the winners were Ayishath Sufaila and Lihana from I-Year
BBA (Aviation Management). The second place was taken by Thaha and Osvita from
II-Year BBA (Aviation and Logistics Management) and the third place was secured
by Fathimath Faiza and Thejalakshmi. R from II-Year BBA (Aviation Travel and
Tourism Management).
From
the boy’s category first place was bagged by Nishan Shetty and Rahul Krishna M
from II-year BBA (Aviation Management), second place was secured by Vikas v and
Adithya Shetty from II-year BBA (Aviation Management) and third place was taken
by Kiranprakash and Adwaith C from II-year BBA (Aviation and Logistics
Management).
From
the PG category Nishwa Majeed K and Apsara L from I-year MBA (Aviation Management)
and the second place was secured by Fathimath Shabna and Nazneena N A I- year
MBA (Aviation Management)
The
Mehendi Making Competition at Srinivas College not only provided a platform for
students to showcase their artistic talents but also fostered a sense of
cultural pride and inclusivity. The event was a resounding success, leaving
participants and spectators eagerly looking forward to future cultural events
at the college.
